Before I Forget...

This is the bag I'll be carrying my gear with me today as I head to Hamilton to stay overnight.
I'll also be carrying a lot of worry and fear with me.
I know, I'm silly. Deal with it.
There's also a lot of crap I probably don't need.
I'm a Scout leader. I'm prepared. Sue me.

This is my ugly fuel belt.
A necessary evil when you run anything over 10km.
Don't trust the water they give out at aid stations.
I love when you go by early and see them filling it from a hose and a hydrant.
Bleh.

This is the pocket I attach to my fuel belt.
This is where I stash my shot bloks, sharkies or any other food to eat along the way so you won't find me ass up in a bush.
Please crawl in so I can draw on you for support.
30km is hella long.
I'm going to need you.
Off I go :)
Good luck H-woman, Hezzy, Laura, James, Yumke, Nicole and everyone else out there running :)

I live in Burlington and have more stuff packed with me than you can shake a stick at. I was a Brownie when I was wee...
The start line will be nuts so I will look for you..while I freak about how long I will be out there for.....

I don't comment much (sorry) but I read/listen always. I had to comment on this post as 30km!! Wow. Wow. Wow. I'm inspired! That plus how great you have been doing lately. Go you!

Good luck but I'm sure you'll do fine.

I have that "ugly" water belt too but I don't bring it along at runs below 10K in winter. In Summer I use it for runs of 6 to 7K or more, depends on how hot it is but I'd rather leave it at home.

Hope you had a great race. I just found your blog through another one I read.

I was at ATB as well today, so probably saw you cross the finish line. I just did the relay this year, so was able to cheer people on at the end!
