A group of running associations and races in the US have joined together for the first annual National Running Day.
There are events being held from coast to coast to south of our border.
So why don’t Canadians have any events or days like this? I guess it’s just a matter of planning, as it’s in its first year and will grow as time goes on.
But are you running today?
Does a day like this affect your plans to exercise?
For the hosers, does it even matter that it’s an American initiative with no Canadian events?
Should Canadian organizations get involved?
Lace ‘em up and let me know.

7 nibbles at the cheese:
I love this :)
I ran. On the treadmill, but it counts!!
I'm in bed with a effing migraine. Thought I beat it this morning, but it returned. I went to work, got hit with it... came home, took drugs, slept it off. Thought it was gone. Nope. It came back.
That has NEVER happened to me ever.
@amy - check what you ate all day. Anything with preservatives, additives, nitrates, sulfates?
Those get me.
I cycled today. You do your thing, I'll do mine ;)
A national running day in Canada would be cool.
damn I thought the post was going to be If you need an excuse to run.."get arse in gear for a dinner out at the Keg with the fabulous blog ladies.." or something along those lines :P
@angie That too. Get on it, missy!
I had no idea it was a holiday and I rolled out of bed at 5:30 am, laced up the sneaks and went for a 3.5 mile run anyway! Boo Ya!!! :)
