Remember how I used to have beer...

in my vegetable crisper? Now I remember why. Last week I was looking at the drawer and noticing it was, well, wasted space in my packed fridge. Then I had the BRILLIANT idea of putting my veggies (and a few pieces of fruit) in there! ...and ...er....then I forgot. I opened it today after grocery shopping to find many of the items I had just purchased were already in there. Hmmph. I think it's time for a trip to the beer store :P

I too used to put beer in the crisper, but now there are potatoes and onions in it. I can't keep fresh vegetables in the house because I am so lazy they always go bad before I eat them. I am all about the frozen vegetables. But, alas, I'm bad at eating them too. I stopped by WW today to pick up their schedule for meetings and when they are open. I was too scared to get weighed. The sizes have been creeping up, so I know the weight must be too. There are a whole bunch of pants I bought earlier this year that no longer fit. Ugh. Denial is my new middle name. I have managed to cut out a lot of the beer, but the bagels are stilling killing me. Killing me I tell you! Oh! I think today is my 1 year anniversary of being at goal, but alas, I'm no longer at goal. Maybe I will be on my one year anniversary for lifetime in January. So sad for me :( But, I only have myself to blame. Sorry for the ramble.

Have you ever checked out Fridgdewatcher.com?

It's interesting to see what other people have in their fridge. What can I say... I'm nosy. You knew that already, right? I was looking at a woman's fridge in Malaysia, actually she has two full-size fridges, one for raw food, the other for cooked. No beer :(

I've got veggies in the left one and one beer, nestle orange splash bottles and carrots in the right one. Yes, one beer. Once upon a time, there'd be a case of beer in that crisper at any given time. I feel old now. *sigh*

Haha... we were commenting on that the other day too. We got home and there was a lot of stuff already in there that were had totally forgotten about!

So, I kinda got this CRAZY idea the other day. The Goofy Challege 2010. Yep. That is crazy eh? Talk me out of it please.

Thankfully, the new fridge has clear drawers. Amazing how the kids will eat the fruits and vegs when they see them.

putting veggies in my drawers assures having black goo oooozing in a matter of weeks - I must be very visual. I keep veggies on the top shelf in plain site.

In one of the drawers I keep individual packages of unsweetened apple sauce and dried fruit for the kids. In the other I keep lunch size water bottles. I do keep low fat cheese packages and sticks in the top drawer - the kids look for those on a regular basis so they are never forgotten.

I am the WORST for buying things that I already have "hidden" in my fridge. I occasionally find liquified cucumbers in the plastic wrapping in the bottom of my crisper. Really gross.

*laughs* I am one of those as well...especially because I can't figure out how to change the temp on our bottom crisper...too cold for veggies (freezes them) but makes a nice cold beer!!!!

All the veggies get smushed in the back with the bread (yes, smushed)...and then condiments have 2 shelves to themselves...

Having a plan has really helped Justin and I eat these bad boys up - we only buy what we'll eat and when we look at the plan we see what is needed. Otherwise it would be a beer storer as well!

I'm with Vickie. If I can't see it, I won't eat it. Veggies need to be the most reachable item in the fridge for me. And I keep some fruit on the counter at all times. Anything to help me eat healthier!
