GBU - 21.1km edition
Good - I finished the Scotia Waterfront Half Marathon for the second time!
Bad - I was about seven minutes slower than last year.
Ugly - I ran for about three kilometres in SEVERE pain. Perhaps ugly should be retitled as STUPID.
Good - Seeing so many people come out, run and "celebrate health," as John Stanton put it.
Bad - Seeing people lose their breakfast on the route.
Ugly - Seeing a poor girl trip and fall at about 15km.
Good - Finishing upright and smiling.
Bad - Spending the rest of the day horizontal and in pain.
Ugly - Spending some of that time bent over losing my lunch. Post-race migraines blow.
Good - Running as the sun makes it ascent into the sky.
Bad - Wearing a long sleeve shirt as the day starts to warm up.
Ugly - The guy in the Elvis costume who was obviously overdressed for the occasion. Sweaty mess, he was.
Good - Yummy, fit men who feel the need to take off their shirts running. Hello, eye-candy!
Bad - Imaging the sight if I took off my shirt as I start to overheat.
Ugly - Wondering what the hell I'm doing there in the first place among the fit and fabulous.
Good - Another race completed!
Bad - Putting my body through torture for a sport I don't really understand why I'm so into...
Ugly - Counting down the days until the next one on October 19th. Ugh.

14 nibbles at the cheese:
John Stanton makes me puke it my mouth.
Way to rock your race though my sweet. I was thinking about you yesterday as I was doing my LSD on the tredmill because I needed to be close to the can! ;)
Correct me if I am wrong...but don't the "fit and fabulous" stick with the "fit and fabulous"??? I just assumed it made sense to EVERYONE why you would be there!
Post-race migraine?? ACK! I can think of nothing worse, except maybe a during-race migraine. You are seriously hardcore, woman -- if running brought on migraines for me, I would never leave my bed.
Wow! Congrats on doing the run! So annoying that it brings you so much discomfort though... But 'Chapeau' for sticking to it and completing it!! Phew!!! You are a rock star!!! :)
Good for you Mouse!
Good - I made it to the finish line before Mouse made it!
Bad - I was distracted by some guy running with a blindfold and missed taking a good shot of her. blargh.
Ugly - I then spent the next 15 minutes trying to find her through a maze of fencing. Super lame.
Can't wait for that half marathon when I get to actually chase you down with a scone in my hand!
Great job on the race!
clearly stating I am not a marathoner and having no desire to be one... BUT aren't you suppose to have like a longer break into between runs then 19 days?
and WTF?? "wondering what the hell I'm doing there in the first place among the fit and fabulous" seriously??? you were there because you are fit and fabulous, simply put if you weren't you wouldn't be even able to imagine being there NEVER mind actually completing it! Mouse = fit and fabulous, duh!!
and the Elvis dude? well.. all I can say is love the shoes ;0)
@shirls - That's actually longer than last year. I ran Scotia and then TO with a two week break then.
I was ok last year, me thinks that this year it's just dumb.
Good work!!
I'm on the Mouse is fit and fabulous bandwagon... you rock Mouse and you totally belong in that crew... heck they can learn a few things from you!!!
Mouse, you are definitely one of the fit and fabulous. They are lucky you spend time with them!
Girl, to me you ARE the fit and fabulous ;-)
Great job!
Congratulations on finishing!! You are some trooper and inspiring :)
Running can bring on a migraine? Not something I want to hear.
La la la fingers in my ears la la la...
