So you want to run, eh?

See what you have to look forward to? Ice baths, ice packs, ibuprofen, tons of stretching (yoga is your friend) more ibuprofen, and rest. We won't mention the crazy desire to eat yourself out of house and home when you start running longer distances.... Bet you thought it would just help you get all toned, fit and hot, eh? PFFFFFFFFT. Ice packs on your knees are soooo much hotter. You love it.

That doesn't work in my house.

I have a tendency to EAT the frozen veggies.

I honestly went looking in my freezer and realized I couldn't bear to part with the corn or the broccoli or the peas.

How sad is THAT?

what the heck did you do to yourself? I'm not a long distance runner but I've never had to ice, are you ok?

Since Feb or so I've noticed them feeling a bit swollen and they creek a little now.

I get out of bed in the morning and hobble around for the first five minutes. It's lovely.

So I'm icing them each night to see if that helps.

So far, so good.

Amen to that sista.. although my knees are in pretty decent shape as of right now, I fear what they will be like when I'm 50.

My current ailment is my IT band in my left leg. Anything of 15k, is pretty much sheer torture.

And for some STUPID reason, I'm running the Toronto Half with YOU! ;)

The price you pay for greatness? Hope they're better soon!

Maybe I should rethink my exercise choice now...while there is still time.

Who am I kidding? I've already got an IT band injury in my right leg (I feel your pain, Amy!) and I still want to run. I'm batshit crazy.
