To the woman who made this all possible

Today is all about our mom (pictured here with jainey last summer). And it's about your mom or even you, if you've been blessed with anklebiters. You rock for giving us life, wiping our noses, doing that whole lick your finger and wipe our face thing, embarrassing our sorry asses in front of friends and family alike but really, saving YOU from embarrassment from us looking like terrible slobs. You're amazing for reading us bedtime stories, volunteering at our school, girl guides, scouts, etc. and I am ETERNALLY grateful to you for putting work on hold and being there for us until we were all in school full time. You made the greatest sacrifice for us, gave us unconditional love and provided us with the best care and guidance. And we, as your children, apologize for giving you a hard time through our teenage years, for running away in the middle of the day in diapers, right after a bath, only to be brought home in police cars (not naming any names *cough cough*), for not listening when you said someone was going to eventually going to end up crying and teasing you about the spelling of "schtupid." But we hope that we've made you proud and thank you for the love and support that you've given us over the years. You're one kickass lady. *mwah*

I have read a couple of posts about Mother's Day, but I love your take on it. Yeah, my mom did the licking the finger thing (eewww), but she was also one kickass lady. I honor her memory today. Thanks for making me remember and smile!

If the two children who inhabit this corner of the cyberspace universe are any indication, the lovely lady pictured above must truly be a "kickass" lady.

Just catching up with your posts... You have such a cute little famdamily. Loved your brother's post too. He's almost as funny as you are. Almost.

Awwww....

Great post. (And you're right, we were all a pain in the ass as teenagers and we're SO lucky our Moms are even still speaking to us.)
