Seen and Heard

Who: Me and my grande bold, dozing in and out of consciousness Where: the northbound train on the yonge line, on the way to the jobbo When: 7:30a.m. UGH Why: The bills do NOT pay themselves, people How... it felt outside: weatherman said it was +3 but FELT like -3. It would reach double digits at some point during the day though. What the....: YOU, sitting across from me on the train, sleeping on your bf's shoulder, wearing OPEN TOED SLIDE SANDALS. Not sure if you missed the memo, but it's FREAKIN SPRING! Early spring at that. I don't know about you, but I was frrreeeezing this morning and my hands were still tingling as I sat across from you on the train as I wasn't wearing mittens on my whopping four block walk to the subway meanwhile there you sit with no socks or shoes, huddled up against your companion for warmth. Summer will come soon enough, my pet, and you can wear those pretty shoes. Until then, please put them back in the closet and wear some sensible footwear. Your feet are the same colour as your red toenail polish.

the amount of people I've seen wearing shorts, tshirts and flip flops are way to many for this time of year!! I get it, it is finally nice out. Nice enough to put away the heavy winter jackets, the winter boots. But not nice enough to wear sandals and shorts in the morning or evening! Get with the program people!

Hahaha! I will confess, I wore open-toed sandals out for lunch yesterday. In my defense, it was +10 and sunny outside. :P

Its funny that you posted this because this morning I almost decided to wear sandals! Than I reasoned myself into my closed toe shoes. :)

I am waiting to find out if my brother John is wearing shorts...

As soon as the temp. hits double digits, he feels the need to free his legs from the confines of pants.

He's a funny creature.

I think that brain cells that operate common sense die when you're deprived from sunlight and warm weather for too long. It's the only explanation I can come up with the explain why people do this kind of thing.

I realize that it's getting warmer out there but, great googly moogly, there is still snow on the bloody ground!!

I'd believe it if I saw it!

One day at work in mid-March, I heard some weird noise around the store. I thought, What the fuck? Sure enough it was some woman dragging her open-toed sandals on the floor (damn, those were some ugly shoes!). The first mild day we have in March it was like 5 degrees and she thought it was great weather for sandals. Good grief.

Crazy - we had someone come in for a job interview wearing sandals the other day. Granted it was nice, but sandals to a job interview should be a no-no even in the middle of summer, much less the first week of April. Crazy people.

It's nice and sunny down here in FL, but in honor of your coldness up there, I won't wear my open toed shoes tomorrow. :) Strictly pumps tomorrow!

BTW, thanks for the comment on my blog. I love your blog being mouse themed and all. And the comments... "nibbles at the cheese". Awesome!

ugh, i've seen girls on the metro doing the flip-flop thing already and it just makes me cringe! yes, it's spring but seriously - it's not THAT warm... i hate the transition time of year, it's so hard to decide what to wear! :-p

That girl sounds like my sister. We went to our meeting on thursday night and she wore her wind-breaker (are they even called that anymore?) and flip-flops...hello...it's still winter in my opinion. I was freezing in my winter jacket.

OMG there was a woman at my gym this morning and she left wearing open toed slide sandals and CAPRIS!

It was 7:25 am and -2 out.

People are ridiculous!
