CTRL + ALT + DEL

(I'm such a PC girl, eh?) I'm rebooting. Journal purchased, sustenance procured for work for the next two days and, well, if it wasn't -20 outside, I'd be running my arse off too (avoiding the gym and its noobs like the plague). I think I will change things up more and more this year, starting with my weigh-in day. It's always been Monday since August of 2005 and maybe I need to change that. Just something different to keep my head in the game instead of going through the motions, getting bored and falling too far off track. Because that's where I feel I am headed. Why you ask? Today I tried to put on a pair of my favourite jeans and I couldn't get them up over my thighs. Funny, I wore them last week... But I don't want to struggle with clothes that I have or want to purchase, get discouraged and throw everything I've worked so hard for in the last few years away. I know people think, "Hey! She's really active. A few slip ups here and there AREN'T going to kill her...", but they can be a HUGE detriment. I am an overeater and a sneak eater, this is never going to change. I was so tempted to relive my 2005 New Year's night the other night of a medium pizza, pop, ice cream and chips but somehow managed to sneak in only the chips... Still wasn't the best idea. Counting points helps me keep it all in check. If I'm not counting, making silly allowances and resetting every other day, then I am NOT on program. And I want to be ON PROGRAM. I want my pants to fit...and not on a virtual me.

I hear ya. My pants are a little to snug for my liking. Time to shape up or ship out!

Writing it down just makes you more mindful and that's a good thing.

Tight pants suck. I'm wearing a large sweater that covers my butt to overcome it :)

Yeah, I'm a Monday girl too. I think changing it is a good idea. I do believe it's necessary for everyone when you get to a certain point. Yup, definately change it and see if it helps.

*laughs* I have been thinking the same thing (the reboot)...I have been wanting to change my WI (again, I know! This will be the second time) because I have no accountability on the weekend and then struggle through the week...you have got my mind churning...

I want your pants to fit too!!! A happy Mouse makes a happy Jen!

I had the ice cream and chocolate for you...gah!

I am exactly like you in the food department.

I'd love to reboot with you.

I am NOT looking forward to going back to the gym. It's going to be absolute madness.

I hear you about the jeans. I have 3 pairs in my closet that used to fit loosely and now can't be squeezed past my thighs. Lovely.

I think this is the best way to deal with things like the potato chips a couple days ago - reboot, and go back to what you know works for you!

I hear ya, I'm in the midst of a reboot myself. I just determined that I will not let all my hardwork in 2007 go to waste and I will get to goal in 2008 :)

It is so hard to get back on track after the holidays. Thinking of changing my WI as well.

Been reading awhile, first comment though...so hello!

It's so easy to get caught up in "going through the motions" so I think it's a great thing to switch up your weigh in day and things like that.

Just get back to the basics, and those jeans will fit in no time!

I'm with you. I have to be "on a program." If I think "I'm there - I can stop now" the weight just comes right back. I must always think about what I'm putting in my mouth and what excercise I am doing. Forever and always.

You know if you stick to the points you will see results...so in the words of Nike "JUST DO IT". I know you can!!!

Way to shake it off and get back in the game. Sometimes I wonder if maintenance will not be more stressful than this losing thing. I mean, you don't have regular losses to keep you motivated. Way to keep at it though.
I'm thinking Jeep needs a good kick the next time he brings junk food home. That might help.
