- The HUGE lineup for Thai Express at 11:15a.m.
- The HUGE lineup at Timmy Ho's ALL FREAKIN DAY LONG
- Food courts DO need two different Mediterranean food chains selling their goods within mere metres of one another
- You can never have enough sandwich shops or Asian themed restaurants to choose from
- The number of people sitting, eating their packed lunches by themselves in the food courts is astounding
- and that the lady at bourbon st. grill remembers my order, bourbon chicken and mixed veggies - tiny, tiny bit of rice, even though I haven't been there in a year and a half

Tales from the food court...
yeah, so I'm up to my eyeballs in work this week. Thankfully I'm off for NYC on Friday with Jeepers for some fun and frivolity but this whole working for a living thing is screwing up my eating and sleeping habits.
I was at work until 11p.m. last night preparing ANOTHER training manual and getting it bound and junk...which thankfully didn't end up with me eating junk for dinner. I had the presence of mind to keep a chunky soup container stashed away in the kitchen and a smart pop bag tucked away in my desk so I chowed down on that before I bit into my arm...
But I still ended up having a waffle with peanut butter when I got home (which is better than the tub of ice cream I *actually* wanted).
Then today I have no desire to eat. Stress does weird things to me. But I know I have to so I cruised the PATH's food courts on my way back to the office from my client this morning.
Things I find weird:

9 nibbles at the cheese:
11:15 seems a little early for lunch, no? But maybe the line is full of people who start their work day really early.
And a waffle and PB doesn't sound particularly unhealthy--good job!
aw...that was me last week in the food court by myself!!
That really sucks to work until 11pm, I hope you got a good sleep in this morning???
I usually start work around 7am and on days that I don't bring a lunch I usually venture out around 11:15-11:30ish to pick something up. My main reason though is to avoid the many, many people who will be lining up at 12:00 to get theirs.. but that's just me. I always wait until after noon to eat though - to me it doesn't feel right eating lunch before that time :D
Also, Tim Hortons - I'm always amazed that at any time of day there's always a lineup there. The only time I haven't seen one is at the 24 hour ones at some ridiculous time like 2 a.m. - but they usually make up for the lack of lineup by providing extra slow service!
i know you post pics of your waffles all the time, but what brand are they? just curious... trying one with peanut butter sounds really good! mmm mmm... ;o)
I think the lineup at Timmy's must be universal! I definitely have my suspicions that their coffee is laced with crack. That is the one and only explanation. :P
i hate eating underground in those paths - so depressing
NYC on friday??damn girl. I am jealous
You think that Thai express line is bad at that time, it actually gets worse!
NYC - you are fing kidding me. How the heck do you go so often. I'm turning green as I type. Lucky Lucky girl
Ok, I really don't want your stress but I'll take some of that dried-up desire to eat.
