So...

I pay oodles of money for a gym membership each month... and I set my alarm for 5:30 each morning... I have brand spanking new running shoes, awesome winter running gear, a fancy garmin, an iPod (with the Nike+ attachment) and all the fancy pants stuff I need to run outside whenever I feel like it... I have free weights, a yoga mat, pilates dvds and even a resistance band to do workouts at home... and what do I do? Sweet eff all! In fact, I noticed dust on my weights today and the yoga mat is still rolled up in its bag, where it has been since last Thursday's class. My running gear is all neatly folded in the drawers and I've been doing less and less of it each Sunday when I do laundry. And my brand new shoes? D asked me yesterday how my first run was in them. My answer... I don't know yet. I don't know how or when this lethargy set in but I don't want it to last long. But it's been accompanied by poor eating habits too, as you've probably noticed by the lack of pictures since Saturday. That's when we had a company lunch at Mandarin. Which was followed by pizza at my parents house with the ankle biters... UGH. Thankfully when I'm ill I have no appetite so yesterday was back to business. I just have to lace up those shoes and report back to D now.

ugh...at LEAST you have to try the pretty shoes right????

What is it about December hey??? I think it is the month for cushy bums and padded tummies...cause that seems to be all I want to do too...though I am not a crazy awesome workout queen like you are!!

Well girl, if you're feeling better, you better get the hell out there and put all those awesome gadgets to use! Just hope you can run fast enough to outrun the muggers who want all your fancy gear!

well you were sick for the past couple of days. And it is a tough time this year with it being so cold. BUT you totally can and should do it!!!

you should give yourself a break! You were sick... and sometimes it takes a while to get back to your routine... (I'm really good at coming up with excuses, eh?). But, seriously, sometimes it's good for your mind and body to take a week or two off... completely, like, no exercise at all... just a suggestion. :)
