Wednesday's Treats

Ok, so I lied....there's the timbits. I didn't eat them for breakfast though. I had the standard waffles and assorted baggage. I thought I'd spare Sara having to see the cottage cheese again :P

Lunch was steak, brown rice and broccoli slaw. Added chili flakes and soy sauce for a kick :)

Snacks! Carrots and Cheese Nips!

Pork chop with unsweetened apple sauce, basmati rice and seasoned green beans.

8km run for APs.

I haven't been around in awhile so i am just now catching up on your pix. What a great idea! I wish I had time to do this cause i think it is a great way to keep accountable. If it is okay with you I just may use some of your recipes for my Five Point Friday. The angel food cake dessert looked delicious.

i LOVE cheese-its but can't have them in my house or i'll eat the whole box... i made the mistake of buying them to take along to my sister's - not a good idea! though they were the reduced-fat kind, eating 4 servings probably isn't good for you... ;o)

My boss brings me a tea and a timbit almost every day. She's thoughtful enough not to being a box and I only eat one...okay sometimes 2, but that's it!

Broccoli slaw mixed into stir fry - very very interesting. I'm going to have to try it!!!

Thanks for 2 things - the kind words about diving and sparing me the cottage cheese!!!

I saw your name on Trixie's Blog and stopped by to say "hi". I love your idea of the pictures too! I found the broccoli slaw a while back - and the other variations - and have been using them in stir fry myself. Adds a lot of taste and volume for very few calories. In my heavier days - I frequented a chinese restaurant on nearly a daily basis. I got fatter - the staff all stayed very slim - but they ate there every day too. I finally asked and they told me that they ate mostly veggies with just a little meat and litte rice - rolled in steamed cabbage/lettuce leaves. I have been doing that ever since with my stir fry. It is sort of like eating an eggroll - the cabbage/lettuce leaves hold it all together. I use lots of Chinese Hot Mustard with mine.
