Professor Mouse's English Lesson du Jour

Irregardless is NOT a word. I don't care if you can find it on dictionary.com (which is NOT the authority on the English language. Don't go there to check words, please. You don't want to see me cry.) It's a colloquialism at best. An erroneous blend of words like inflammable. Don't be caught using it... and don't be caught using it four times in front of me when I'm training your behind. I don't like clenching my teeth and forgetting what I'm supposed to say. It makes my head hurt. That is all.

Irrespective of people who don't know what the word 'regardless' means (or they would use it instead of irregardless and stop 'ir'-itating us all), it is always nice to read posts written by people who don't use a word if they don't know the meaning of the word!

'irregardless, ex-boyfriends are just off limites to friends. I mean, that's just, like, the rules of feminism.'

Here, Here.

I was watching 'The School of Life' (not a big seller, but cute anyway), and one line by the English teacher: "The English Language is officially dead.". To which 'Coach' replied, "Word, Dude."
