GBU - dead bird edition

Good - Hosting turkey dinner means you get to control what goes into each item put on the table Bad - Letting Jeep help out by assigning him to mash the potatoes and not paying attention to how much milk and margarine he's putting into them... Ugly - Letting Dad make the gravy...but then again always soooooo good... but this time a carrot ended up in it. Yeah, I'm still baffled by that one. He said it adds character... Good - Avoiding the evil gravy on the table by mixing a smidgen of cranberries in my mashed potatoes and only having one small plate of food Bad - When my niece Erin decided she wanted to eat off of my plate and feed me from hers instead...which had mashed potatoes swimming in gravy, as per her instructions. Ugly - The potatoes that fell off of her fork and onto my pants...and the other forkful she put in my hand. We will not discuss the turkey that went up my nose Good - Inviting friends over who can't make it to their family gatherings. having such a welcoming and warm family is always a good thing Bad - One brother not in attendance because he has to host his own in-laws and a roommate stuck in traffic on the way back from Montreal who missed out on dinner Ugly - Making way too much food that didn't get eaten Good - THIS recipe. OMIGAWD. HUGE success Bad - Eating that, mom's trifle and low fat ice cream Ugly - My tummy aches sooooooooo bad. too much dairy Good - Family members that not only bring food, but CLEAN up too! Bad - Family members that don't take food with them when they leave Ugly - The ziploc container farm that now inhabits my fridge Good - the 1.5L of water I've chugged since my family left at 8:30 Bad - how often i'm going to get up all night now Ugly - the 10km I have to run tomorrow morning with this feast still sitting in my belly Hope everyone else had an awesome turkey day :)

I'm not a fan of pumpkin and especially since I foolishly tried that HG pumpkin brownie concoction...yeck! But I am willing to try that with another kind of flavour substituted there....hmmmm...the possibilities....what are the points on that bad boy?
