GBU - post 20k edition

Good - 20k done, two weeks until Scotia. Bad - I kind of forget to rest and relax when I went home yesterday, choosing to clean and do laundry instead. Ugly - I am walking like I rode a horse all weekend now. Good - Wearing my little buddy Garmin yesterday when we didn't follow the map after getting off of the beltline, taking a right instead of a left and noting we still got in 20k Bad - Nike + is STILL overestimating and li'l Garmin is bang on. Can you two please get your crap together?! Ugly - The errors my laptop had when I synched them up after my run. Have I mentioned that I hate Vista? Good - I had only a desire to eat good food after my run yesterday. Quite a first, really. Bad - But then when I got home I really didn't have a desire to eat at all, really. Ugly - I do have a weird obsession with cheese strings, whole wheat pitas and hummus lately though that is SO not good for your tummy. Good - Finishing 20k means I'll be able to do the half no sweat! Bad - I'm getting slower and slower each week and I get figure out why Ugly - maybe it's the cheese strings, hummus and pitas...

It's great to know you can do the half-good work! I'm worried though abotu the weather-if it is suddently cold and rainy we haven't trained for that all season.

Dim sum is the perfect meal post-long run! Not too bad for you either if you order only the steamed stuff. I'm often not that hyngry afetr the long run and seem to weigh more the next day--it could be that our joints attract and retain some fluid for a couple of days?

I totally go through the string cheese/hummus/pita cravings too. (usually when I'm prego... and it's usually accompanied by cranberry or orange juice, weird, I know.)

good work on the running! I've been having trouble getting myself in gear lately, so posts like yours are very good for me :) Also, i love string cheese. it's so stringy. and cheesy. (and, preportioned) what's not to love?

20k? Awesome! You're a great motivator! I can run about half of that right now (on a very good day!). But to be honest, I really can't imagine being able to run 13 miles at one time! You rock!

Yeah I'm never hungry after long runs. It usually takes me an hour to eat my dinner (since I run just before).

I have a long run tonight - this is my last one - I swear!!!

Catch Up - wow that picture, crazy the difference, 9 earrings - holy crap, and congrats to your family member, I "inspired" 2 of my aunts, mom and sister to join as well and it is really exciting watching your loved ones change their lives for the better!
