time to let go?

Do you have an item of "big" clothes that you just can't let go of? I'm wearing mine today. It's an XL Abercrombie hooded sweater that i lurve and adore. I bought it when I went to Raleigh, NC about -10lbs into WW in October of 2005 (when AF still hadn't made their Northern appearance and having their stuff here was still ooohed and aaaahed over). Fitting in this sweater was kind of a big deal to me. Actually, I didn't really fit in the sweater then and I kind of sort of broke the zipper on the sweater on the flight back because it didn't fit. But my handy sewing skills (thanks mom!!) came to the rescue and I fixed 'er right back up! Now this hoodie is quite spacious but I refuse to give it up. Granted, AF sizing is sort of vanity sized and this could be seen as a M-L, not an XL but it's still far too big for me. I just don't know why I can't let go... Any of you like this?

i tend to wear sweatshirts big anyway because i hate anything that's tight... i used to keep things but once they get beyond the 'too big' stage, i get rid of them - they just make me look huge... and i also had to work on getting used to clothes fitting properly, that was the hard part...

I try to throw away some of my larger clothes so I won't be tempted to go back there again but there are some items that I just love and would never part with. And I'm cool with that.

YES!!!!! I kept jeans, even though I had a saggy bum in them, and I wore a sweater (off the shoulder style) that was LITERALLY falling off me...I almost showed off my goodies...so yeah, I got rid of it!!!

sorry I didn't post yesterday but way to go on the race, man you look hot, skinny little legs :) actually your legs are probably full of muscle but in the pic I can notice one thing and that is how great they look, WOWZA!

SO about your sweater, I would keep it because it is comfie and even if it is too big, it is part of your frump wear and as long as its in tact, I would hang on.

I have the same type of sweater from Ekho, orange hoodie that is too big but I love it anyway :)

I know what you mean about letting go. It's kind of scary actually because the clothes are sort of a comfort blanket when you are big. It's hard to say goodbye. I have given away bags upon bags of clothes but I like fitted clothing now and baggy stuff flies out the door for me!

i haven't given away any of my bigger clothes yet, not because i think i'll gain the weight back, but i'm planning on having a baby again so i'll need some bigger stuff. once i'm done that, bye bye! i'll probably keep a few shirts or something that are comfy and i can wear around the house.

I have a XXXL nike sweatshirt in red, I don't wear it out anymore but if I'm home, I'm sick, I want to wear it to get all cozy in, my DH hates it, says I need to let it go...

Yup, My DAPS (Dalhousie Association of Psychology Students) council sweat shirt from 2001. I wore it out before I started losing weight - it's an unattractive faded shade of navy blue and when I put it on now, it's waaaaaaay too big and not attractive at all, but for some reason I can't let it go. I think it's the memories of my year on the council and all the fun times we had. So, I suppose it will stay in my closet forever :)

I don't wear anything XL anymore, but I do have some clothes that are baggy on me and I wear them anyways. I like them!
