Tell me a story...

So i got an e-mail from WW today. Less than a week until the big day (EEEEEEK!) and they've sent out a list of things to bring with me on the day of the shoot. One item is sticking out to me -besides the pantyhose. I don't think I own a single pair. I dread buying those puppies as the sizes have always confused me (they NEVER fit over my thighs!). So they end with... "Weight Watchers materials that are special to you. Anything that you use as inspiration from your journey. Ex: Your weigh in book covered in stickers “Bravos” or your 10% key chain. Please be creative…bring anything that tells your story." For the life of me, I cannot think of something. Being an online member, I guess this is where it "sucks to be me" (and I guess this is where Paige will mock me for being late 90's or 2000 or something, right? hmmph). So if given the opportunity, what would you bring to tell YOUR story or what do you think I should bring to tell mine?

I would bring the keychain a friend gave me, your suppose to put little pictures in it, but when she gave it to me it had "congrats shirls" in it, and I love that she spent the time and effort it took to do each letter in a different color, print it, just the right size and add it into that keychain, I love it and have no intentions of changing it.

I'd probably print the power point presentation invite to my 100 party as well :)

Did you have anything that you used as motivation along the way? Pictures of yourself? A pair of pants you used to wear before you began. I kept 1 pair of jeans from before I started losing weight. I look at them from time to time. I have a "before" picture that I look at from time to time to try to keep me on track.

As an online member, you don't get the same physical prizes that you get when you go to meetings. Did you reward yourself along the way? Buy a new ipod when you reached a certain goal? Anything like that?

What thing keeps you anchored and focused? Bring that.

There, my 2 cents.

hey marie. i will let that one go because it wasn't nearly as entertaining as yesterday's comments. a nice little stroll down memory lane!
i have switched to online as well and my mind is drawing a blank on what you would bring. you could print an online tracker thingy. i know you have referenced that in the past you love to track (so do I)

I too am strictly an online member. I would take my 'fat pants' from before I started WW and I would take the 100 lb magnet that shirls sent me!!! How sweet is that! We as onliners don't get all the little treats and rewards that meeting members get, so it was super special when she sent that to me! :)

I am so excited for you Mouse! You'll have to tell us ALL about it! I remember when Lindz on the 20's board was chosen and we saw her story online. VERY cool! You're a celebrity - I'm friends with a celebrity :)

Why don't you bring your grad dress??? And a copy of your article from a couple of weeks ago (I know it is recent, but it's still amazing!!!)...I have a calendar with stickers and writing all over it to encourage myself...perhaps we should start a mouse thread and you could print it out...or even just some blog entries...show em how it's done these days!!

I was going to suggest your grad dress too. That's a toughy. I would probably bring a picture of my baby since having her put me on the path to better health. Hmmm.... Very tricky!

I suggest bringing your running shoes!

It may not be directly WW related, but I can imagine that without WW you would have never started running (much like me!). And from what I read on here, it seems like running is your way to keep up with all your healthy lifestyle changes!

I am with Jen and Natalie - the grad dress! The runners, too, because they're such a huge part of who you are now.

Mine is a photo of me on the beach from thinner days, rockin' a teeny-weeny black bikini. I want to fit back into that thing. Also, my 10% keychain. It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but it's like my little secret with fellow WW-ers that I've done something for me!

i agree with some of the other posters, your grad dress!

i'd bring my goofy little magnets that i make when i hit milestones!

i'm so excited to read your success story and to hear all about the photo shoot!!

i was going to say bring some old/new clothes because that's a definite way to show how much you've lost... maybe some examples of the food you used to eat (snacks, etc.) or some books you've read that have inspired you along the way... i think anything you bring will be fine - you must be so excited! can't wait to hear all about it!

Eeek, that is hard. Even me, I've been a meeting-goer since I joined, and none of those little rewards they've given me has been that meaningful.

Actually, I'd probably bring the price tag from my first size 8 dress -- probably my biggest NSV yet. That's about all I can think of.

I hope you think of something. What was it that made you finally decide to join WW? Maybe you could bring that, if it's an object of some kind?

Can't wait to hear how the photo shoot goes :)

what about something to do with your running, since it is an activity you can do now that you couldn't before, maybe a bib with your race number on it or pics of you at the race, just a thought :)
