The pain, the agony and da feet :)

So I spent my weekend in pain after my run. Gave myself a whopper of a migraine after the 5km, my own fault really. I play a game with myself when I feel a migraine coming on and don't take my medication fast enough sometimes because I can't justify taking a $15 pill if I think it's not going to be a severe headache. Turned out to be a doozy after all that continued pretty much into Sunday. Sunday my running clinic ran its first 8km which was pretty awesome...except it felt like it was going to never end because my legs felt like lead and my breath was really short (which happens in damp weather...sucks to my assmar! :P ). I'm glad I went though and pushed myself to keep up with the lead group because it will only benefit me in the end when it comes to my race. To add to my misery, I decided to haul my doughy bum to the gym after my run. I haven't been able to juggle my new running schedule and weight training just yet, except for weekends and I've felt really slouchy lately. I'm glad I did that too because I ran into my fave fellow WW (besides you gals, of course ;) ) Mel and we went for sushi after our workout. I was stuffed for hours after. Although I wanted to do hot yoga this weekend, I never got a chance to :( ...but... I got my pedicure!!! omigod...my feet have never felt purdier. Although, I could have done a better job of painting my toenails myself, I could never get my feet THAT soft. So worth the time and the money. The only bad thing was I freaked the poor chick out with how ticklish I am. She thought she was hurting me the whole time. I really do need to learn to pamper myself like that a little more often :)

Good luck with fitting in the weight training, even though you are doing awesome with all the running!!!

good for you on pushing through your run of 8km, I think you guys might be a week ahead of us in the runs because our 8 km is this weekend. It is hard on the body when running but what a feeling when it is all done eh! have a great Monday babes :)

mmm pedicures!

Hopefully it won't hurt your running tootsies! I find that the calluses have developped for a reason... so I can't get pedicures anymore. :(

Oh a pedi must have felt so good after that run...you soooo deserved it!

I'm glad you treated yourself to a pedi especially since you're a runner. It's not just about making your feet purdy, it's about your foot health and a pedi definitely contributes to that. WTG!
