I wish...

I had Syd's energy today...actually every day this week. To be young and carefree, to run like the wind with your legs flailing about (a la Phoebe in that friends episode where Rachel wouldn't run with her). To make up the weirdest jokes that NO ONE gets but sends her into uncontrollable fits of giggles nonetheless....oh, to be five years-old. But for the life of me, I cannot drag my arse out of bed before 8 lately. It blows hard. The processed food is winning BIG time. M&M peanuts won out yesterday afternoon (which explains my throbbing head yesterday and today), but I've been a good girl since and even added in some gym time after hill training after RR (because I'm a masochist, don't you know). All of the coffee and tylenol ultra in the world isn't helping today... big time booourns! Yesterday's comments really inspired me too, for those who shared what they'd bring with them to tell THEIR story. We really are ALL successes, whether we chose to apply or not and I wish we could all have the opportunity to be dressed up like dolls and have our own photo shoots. I wish I could take all of you in my pocket. I think you're the reason I'm successful. You pick me up when i'm down, you inspire me and you make me think. I found you all at time where I was getting lazy and cocky in maintaining my weight and you've made me stronger and pushed me to reach my personal goal :) And Mojo....I'd totally take you. We should have pitched a family story and shown the world (or certain people) how much we kickass!

I know what you mean about kids and their energy! I wish I could be that way too.
When i took my little sister swimming two weeks ago I was pretty tired at the end but she was still raring to go!

you did hill training and went to the gym wow "me staring at you in aw" wow I have no energy to even get my butt to the hills let alone do a gym session too, you really are an inspiration. I hope that you feel better and are not hurting anymore, I take your pain away :)

Sigh, their energy astounds me. There's no workout like running after my little cousins for an afternoon!

And ... hill training + gym?! Good gosh, that's awesome!

Reading everyone's commments was inspiring for all of us; have you decided what you're going to bring - other than pocket-sized versions of your blog readers? ;)

When I started reading your post, the first thing I thought about was Phoebe. Talk about being on the same wave length. I think we should all take some time and run silly once in awhile. Like nobody's watching. That would be fun!

I'm glad everyone has made a difference in your weight loss success story. You are definitely part of mine so far :)

Whatever you choose to bring will be fabulous. I'm sure it will come to you!

Another post that filled me with smiles and laughs.

Just once, I concur... I would kickass to run a la Phoebe and not give a shit what anyone else was thinking.

Just once, I'd like to wake up WITHOUT coffee.

Man... we're getting old! However, in our older age, we are 110% the people that we were a few years ago. We're healthy, active and IN CONTROL.

Yup. We rock!

You're crazy, girl -- hills and a workout. I've never run hills before but I imagine it's pretty killer. I don't know how you do it!

Anyway, we are all living vicariously through you this week -- I honestly can't wait to see how utterly amazing you look in those photos! I'm sure you'll be smiling your biggest smile. Eeee!

Have a good weekend, Marie!

(And by the way, Leslieville is great so far, though we haven't done much yet, only go to a few restaurants. I do love living in a 'neighbourhood' though, running into neighbours and neighbours' kitties, etc. I've never had this before, even when growing up, because we lived in the country and our closest neighbours lived ~1km away!)

Hey, you don't have to be young to run around with your legs and arms going every which way. Jeeze Louise, I'm 53 and I have never run any other way, ooops am I doing it wrong, please don't tell me I shouldn't be singing out loud in public either. Hey, you only live once, as the saying goes, DON'T BE AFRAID THAT YOUR LIFE WILL END, BE AFRAID THAT IT WILL NEVER BEGIN.
