random tuesday observations

  • Amy is wise beyond her years and her advice should be taken on all things related to subway cookies or just on life in general.
  • my gym is suddenly more full in February then it was in January and i had to wait until 7a.m. for a treadmill when i used to have no issue getting one at 6:30. What's up with that?
  • i was asked by a good friend who i let read my blog for the first time if i'm finding balance in my life. is this based on reading just my blog and seeing it's focused on just weight loss, exercise and food? I could go on about my family (and i do at times, John makes appearances...) and my boy dilemmas instead...but I don't think the latter is that fair considering this a public forum. I don't know. I guess I just like my life and my routine right now that usually i just have weight related stuff to rant about...
  • me, the self-proclaimed Starbucks whore, has managed to kick her $3 a day habit. Thanks to free Starbucks grounds provided by my brother and Li's trusty coffee maker, I've managed to whittle myself down to 2, grande, sugar-free vanilla americanos a week from the 7-9 minimum i used to drink. I wonder how much money I've saved and funneled into lululemon...
  • people who prance over giant puddles on street corners should be more aware of the people behind them. When you do that, you end up soaking the poor sap behind you...like me. And if you're a guy doing that...and work around Bay and Richmond, you're not impressing anyone. But perhaps you should try out for the National Ballet of Canada...
  • March is around the corner which means softball season is only a couple of months away...i cannot WAIT! Spring & summer are so much busier for me and it will mean more time out and about, lots of walking and playing ball (i suck but it's mucho fun) with good friends. YAY!

congrats on breaking and gaining control over the starbucks habit! And congrats on not hurting the dancing ballerina splashing through puddles :)

and how different is, from the old Marie, to be looking forward to something as great as a new sport season?

I miss starbucks - since having the baby I don't get my non-fat caramel macchiatos as often as I'd like. Not to mention the caffeine makes my heart race anyway.

I'm sorry you got splashed by the puddler. But I'm happy that you'll be playing ball soon!
